libfgetdata5 software package provides library to read/write dirfile data - Fortran 77 bindings, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfgetdata5
libfgetdata5 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfgetdata5 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfgetdata5 *
You will get with libfgetdata5 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
